He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ruffin Prater of Millport, Alabama.; his children, Joy Griswold (Stuart) of Northport, AL, Harlan Irby Prater, IV (Ann) of Birmingham, AL and Jane Yerger (Frank) of Oxford, MS; his sister Jane Barker (William) of Scottsdale, AZ; his grandchildren, Lee Griswold Smith (Kyle) of Guin, AL, Catherine Ruffin Prater of Denver, CO, Lynne Griswold Turner (Brad) of Moss Point, MS, Florence Prater Curaca (Marcus) of Arlington, VA, Lucy Brock Loose (Alex) of Charlotte, NC, Thompson Leland Brock (Emily) of Charlotte, NC, Frank Montague Yerger, Jr. of Birmingham, AL, Sarah Jane Rivers Yerger of Oxford, MS and Harlan Prater Yerger of Oxford, MS; and his great grandchildren, Kylee Joy, Lily Jane, Claire Louise Smith, James Edward and James Leland Brock. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
