He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Wallace Porter; his parents, Cornelius Porter and Nora Lee Porter; and his brothers, Cornelius Porter, Jr. and Carlos L. Porter.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Porter of Fayette, Scott Porter (Melissa) of Fayette and Randal Porter of Fayette; his siblings, Fletcher Porter (Bonnie) of Fayette, Linda McCullough of Birmingham, Callie Martin of Tuscaloosa and Nina McCracken of Tuscaloosa; and his grandchildren, Georgia Wilhite, Victoria Wilhite, Noah Porter, Anna Marie Porter and Jaclyn Porter Wallace. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
