It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evalina W. Hughes of Fayette, Alabama, who passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Wright and Willie Mack Wright; and her son Joshua. She is survived by: her son Kevin L. White of Fayette; her husband Howey Neal Hughes of Fayette, Alabama.; her stepchildren, Britnee Hughes George (Christopher) of Tuscaloosa and Jamarcus Hughes of Royce City; her siblings, Elease W. Jolley of Nashville and Donald R. Wright of Richmond; her aunts, Peggy Haley (James) of Berry and Ruby Smith of Fayette; her grandchildren, Xavier White, Xeryus White, Xandrea White and Ky White; her nieces and nephews, Khalisha Jolley, Xandelyn Wright Washington, Everett Jolley and Vandy Jolley IV (Victoria); and also, Stevie and Mary Sparks. She is also survived by six great nieces, three great nephews, and a multitude of cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Norwood-Wyatt Chapel (707 Temple Ave N, Fayette, AL 35555). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
