He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Speed Sanford and Nolan Sanford; and his brother Bobby Joe Sanford. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dot" Sanford of Fayette; and his sons, Shane Sanford, Brandon Sanford (Jennifer) and Josh Sanford (Courtney). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
