He was predeceased by: his parents, William Theron Patterson and Gracie Ophelia Couch; and his brother-in-law Ross Burnett. He is survived by: his children, Allen Patterson (Tina) of Fayette Al and Allison Burkhalter (Jim) of Fayette Al; his grandchildren, Kyle Patterson (Trinity) of Northport Al, Allie Madison (Clay) of Northport Al, Trey Burkhalter (Sara) of Northport Al, Brock Burkhalter (Anna) of Birmingham Al and Brady Burkhalter of Fayette Al; his great grandchildren, Saylor Kate Patterson of Northport Al, Fletcher Patterson of Northport Al, Micah Madison of Northport Al, Nora Lavender Burkhalter of Northport Al and Bryant Burkhalter of Northport Al; and his sisters, Betty Burnett of Petal Ms and Marie Elliott (Joe) of Fayette Al. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM.
