He was predeceased by: his parents, Jonas Wright and Laura Walden Wright; his brothers, James Darrell Wright, Dale Wright and Loyd Wright; his brother-in-law Clyde Smith; his sons, Gene Strickland and James Strickland; his grandson Ryan Rood; and his great grandchild John Michael Rood.
He is survived by: his wife Goldie Wright of Fayette; his children, Joe Strickland of Fayette and Tammie Rood; and his siblings, Edward Wright, Byron Wright, Alton Wright (Bonnie) of Fayette, Karen Little (Tommy) of Fayette and Jean Smith of Northport.
