Though Ben may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ben touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his sister Mary Ellen Chumbley. He is survived by: his wife Rachel Rushing of Fayette; his daughters, Kimberly Rushing Cole of Coconut Creek, FL and Christina Collins of Fayette; and his grandchildren, Benjamin Collins, Samaa Cole, Songura Cole, Jr., Sinora Cole, Grant Collins and Christa Collins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nelson Funeral Home Chapel (3659 AL-171, Fayette, AL 35555). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
