He was predeceased by: his wife Shepard Bradford Sims; and his parents, Chester Napier Sims and Sudie Beatrice Sims (Clements). He is survived by: his sons, Robert Bradford Sims (Martin) of Birmingham, Philip Harrison Sims (Elizabeth) of Birmingham and Thomas Hardie Sims of Birmingham; his granddaughters, Charlotte Dorothy and Katherine Ann Sims; and his siblings, Henry Sims (Terri) and Rita Harless (Danny). He is also survived by nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.
