She was predeceased by: her parents, William Claude and Pearlie Mae Meeks Freeman; her husband Colonel Ward Filyaw; and her siblings, Harold Freeman, Hammond Freeman, Virgil Freeman, Horace Freeman, Charles'Buddy'Freeman, Lilly Freeman, Dollie Burgess and Elizabeth Cooper.
She is survived by: her children, Matt Filyaw (Brittany), Jeff Filyaw (Gail) and Cindy Boatright (Jeff); and her grandchildren, McKenzie Boatright, Andrew Filyaw and Jeffrey Filyaw. She is also survived by three great-granddaughters, one great grandson and family and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cullman Funeral Home Chapel (461 US-278, Cullman, AL 35055). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
