She was predeceased by: her husband T. C. Waters; her parents, Minnie Alice Honey and Noah Young; and her sisters, Pat Drake and Linda Patrick.

She is survived by: her daughters, Dedra Merriman (Brian) and Kim Hollingsworth (T. J.); her grandchildren, Daphne Stewart and Geoffrey Martin; her great grandchildren, Ryan, Wyatt and Amelia Stewart; and her brother Roy Honey (Lorette).
