She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan Stringer and Ida Brown Stringer; her husband Hollis L. Monk; her sons, Holland Monk (Beth) and John "Larry" Monk; and her siblings, Dewitt Stringer, Boyd Stringer, John Bruce Stringer and Reba Stringer Linthicum.
She is survived by: her sons, Frank Monk (Kathryn) of Hartselle, AL and Carl "Jim" Monk of Hartselle, AL; her daughter-in-law Mavis Monk; and her nieces and nephews, Clay Monk, Van Stewart, Keith Monk, Jason Monk, Dee Monk and Phillip Monk. She is also survived by Eleven Grandchildren Thirteen Great Grandchildren Seven Great Great Grandchildren.
