She was predeceased by: her parents, Irous C. Kyle and Nolia Beatrice Kyle; her husband Ray Thompson; her sons, Alan and Tommy Thompson; her sisters, Jessie Thompson and Dorothy Thompson Gargis; and her granddaughter Greta Thompson.

She is survived by: her children, Valerie Stephenson (Rick) and Raymond Thompson (Maria); her grandchildren, Kyle Thompson, Kasmine Chambers (Jim), Irica Edwards (Steven) and Miranda Thompson; and her great grandchildren, Elysa Chambers, Ileana Chambers, McKenna Wheeler, Thomas Edwards and Christian Edwards.
