He is survived by: his children, Rex Burney (Trish), Chris Burney (Karen), Kevin Burney (Naomi), Keith Burney (Tonya), Hobert Burney (Allison) and Tammy Burney; and his siblings, Ronald Burney (Barbara), Dwight Burney (Debbie), Greg Burney, Rodney Burney, Faye Hunt (James), Juanita Reid (Johnnie), Joan Perkins, Connie Roquemore and Jill Burney. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
