He was predeceased by: his parents, William Maynard Heard, Sr. and Bessie Viola Williams Heard; and his former wives, Helen Burgins Heard of Virginia and Patricia Ann Conkin Heard. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Mernick Heard of Fairhope, Alabama; his children, Marilyn Kay Heard Evans (George) of Montgomery and W. Kenneth Heard (Marian) of Fairhope, Alabama; his stepdaughter Patricia "Patty" L. Macon of Spanish Fort, Alabama; his grandchildren, Thomas Powell Eubands (Kristy) of Fairhope, George Andrew Evans (Astrid) of Montgomery, Mary "Ginny" Heard Hutter (Mark) of Fairhope and Patricia "Claire" Heard of Birmingham, Alabama; his stepgrandson Robert "Ben" Benjamin Macon of Spanish Fort, Alabama; and his great grandchildren, Aason Andrew Evans of Montgomery, Ethan Aurey Evans of Montgomery, Parker Cornelius Eubanks of Fairhope, Helen Margot Hutter of Fairhope and Harvey McAuley Hutter of Fairhope, Alabama.
