He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert A. Rowan and Minnie Estelle Rowan; and his siblings, Linda Dale Rowan, Letha Mae Deal, Margaret Taylor and Ronnie Rowan.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann Rowan; his children, Wendell Rowan Jr. (Deneen), Maria Barnes (Carl), Tiffany Evans (Michael) and Derek Rowan (Chloe); his siblings, Carolyn Tedrow, Beverly Senn, Mary Joyce Thompson, Jean Willis and Raymond Rowan; his grandchildren, Kaylan Rowan, John Paul Blaeser, Joshua Blaeser and Brittany Patrick; and his great grandchildren, Miguel DeLeon Rowan, Jay Blaeser, Devanny Rowan, Adeline Patrick and Aviel Rowan. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
