Tweed Childress Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Tweed Childress of Fairhope, Alabama, who passed away on September 14, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Maxine Childress; his parents, Lewis Childress and Ellen Childress; and his brothers, John Rix and Fuller Childress.

He is survived by: his children, Libby Chavous, John Eric Childress (Patti), Darryl Childress and Marie Childress; his grandchildren, Samantha Newsome, Shauna Chavous, John Colby Childress, Billy David Chavous and Bailey Childress; his siblings, Floyd Childress (Pamela), Jenette Whisnet, Catherine Little and Lois Layton; and his close friend Juanita Mena. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
