He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Childers and Icie Childers; his siblings, Harold Childers and Mildred Childers-Morris; his son Timothy Childers; and his grandson Johnathan Childers.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Miller-Childers; his children, Vicki Lane (Kyle) and Roy Childers, Jr. (Denise); and his stepchildren, Tony Miller (Tami) and Jodi Stidfole (Andy). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations, in memory of Mr. Roy Childers, to Shriner's Hospital for Children.
