He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert T. Hegler, Sr. and Velda Rolison (Hegler); and his brother Richard Rolison. He is survived by: his wife Laurie Hegler; and his children, Kristie Wilson, Bobby Hegler and Mike Sapia. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of cherished friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Waterfront Rescue Mission 279 North Washington Avenue, Mobile, Alabama 36603.
