He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Ethelbert Dunn, Sr. and Margaret Berridge Dunn; his brother Julius Ethelbert Dunn, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Mary Elizabeth. He is survived by: the mother of his children Phyllis Harwell Warren Dunn; his children, Ashlee Warren Dunn Thull (Monty), Dawson Dunn Morgan (Brad) and Patrick Hall Dunn, Jr. (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Delaney Dawson Thull, Tyler Warren Thull, Maitland Montgomery Thull, Max Bradshaw Morgan, Emory Ashlee Morgan, Baylee Rose Dunn and Avery Harwell Dunn; and his brother William Berridge Dunn, Sr..
