She was predeceased by: her husband Bueford; her daughter Sue Ann; her parents, Hugh Mayerhoff and Mamie Mayerhoff; her siblings, Hugh Mayerhoff, Jr. and Evelyn Purtz; and her stepfather Edward McGrath.

She is survived by: her daughters, Ellouise Pennington, Becky Gatlin (Tommy), Barbara England and Beverly Terry (Janic); her grandchildren, John Leggett, Ellouise Daniel (David), Amy Worthington, Olivia England, Mackensie and Nicholas Terry; her great grandchildren, Kate, Lucy, Caroline Leggett, Cynthia and Alicia Daniel; and her friend Dorothy Battiste. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
