She was predeceased by: her husband William Morgan Elam; her son Mark Alan Smith; her parents, William J. Parks and Mary Medicus Parks; and her sister Claire Parks Lagman.
She is survived by: her daughter Lia Frederick (Dug); and her stepchildren, William Elam (Elizabeth), Robert Elam (Carol) and Elizabeth Elam Croft (Scott).
