He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Bishop; his parents, Charles Bishop and Maude Bishop; his sister Estelle Spader; and his sons-in-law, Randy Dowsey and Wesley Leavins.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carolyn "Penny" Odom (Larry), Sandra Lee (Danny) and Donna Dowsey; his grandchildren, Prissy Leavins Rorex, Brent Dowsey, Danielle Hartin, Heath Dowsey and Jessica Leavins; and his great grandchildren, Brantley, Jake, Jacob, Luke, Drew, Carson, Alli and Tristyn. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Fairhope Christian Church, where he was a long standing member.
