She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack David Ward and Bessie Phillips Ward; her husband Elroy McKenzie, Jr.; her daughter Ashley Fleming; her stepdaughter Charlotta McKenzie; and her grandson Justin McKenzie.
She is survived by: her children, Dawn Thomas (Derek) of Fairhope, AL and John Fleming Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO.; her sister Jacqueline Pendarvis (Freddie) of Grand Bay, AL; and her stepchildren, Claire McKenzie of Spanish Fort, AL, Kaye Langley (Boyd) of Fairhope, AL, Monica Pepper (Bob) of Burkesville, KY, Bubba Elroy McKenzie III (Daphne) of Fairhope, AL and Matthew McKenzie (Cristie) of Fairhope, AL. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
