It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Callies of Fairhope, Alabama, born in Montevallo, Alabama, who passed away on October 14, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Isloe Faust and Beecher Faust; her children, William John'Kelly'Callies III (Kali) and Leslie Callies Hollis (Micheal); her grandchildren, Major Callies Hollis (Katie) and Jessica Callies Powell (Matthew); her great grandchildren, Max, Evelyn, Hank Hollis, Bryant and Brodie Powell; her siblings, Peggy Sagan and Joe Faust; her husband Bill; and also Crystal Dent Callies. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial may be made to 100 Oslo Circle, Birmingham, AL 35211 This foundation has been significant for Hank as they provide therapy, resources, and assistance for children and adults with disabilities in the Birmingham community.
