He was predeceased by: his parents, John Welk and Theo Welk; and his brother William Welk. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Spears Welk; his sons, Christopher Welk (Tammy) and Patrick Welk (Lisa); his grandchildren, Claire and Taylor Welk; his brother John Welk (Darlene) of Peoria, IL; and his sister-in-law Myra Welk Young of Peoria, IL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
