He was predeceased by: his parents, Susan Vagonis and Charles Edward Schleich. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Ann Cecchini (Stephen) of Fairhope, Alabama, Scott Laurence Schleich of Cary and Elizabeth Grigsby (Jerry) of Livermore, California.; his grandchildren, Dylan Anthony Cecchini (Rebecca Ann), Cole Gailyn McDoniell (Jeremy Dylan), Elle Mae Cecchini, Kim Ferreira (Nathan) and Beth Grigsby-Gospodarek (Justin); and his great grandchildren, Reagan James McDoniell, Francesca Ann Cecchini, Cameron Stephen McDoniell, Genevieve and Isabella Ferreira.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Calendar Fairhope Chapel (19698 Greeno Rd, Fairhope, AL 36532). A reception will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 915 Nichols Ave, Fairhope, AL 36532.
To honor Charles's legacy, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or flowers may be sent to his family in his memory.
