He is survived by: his brother Tom; his spouse Loren Mitchell Ormond McKibbens; his nephew George McKibbens (Sisi); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Tayron and Constance; his sister-in-law Jan Ormond Sherman (Larry Sherman); his nieces and nephews, Charlie Sherman and Cory Sherman Stewart (Jeff); and also, Nate, Benjamin Manly "Kib" McKibbens, Jr. (Anna Laurie Bryant), Loren Mitchell "Missy" McKibbens Roper, Loren Jane, Merridy McKibbens Sims (Terry Bartelli Sims), Benjamin Steele, Oliver Spence, Douglas McKibbens "Trice", John Tyke Bartelli, Woods Ormond McKibbens (Virginia Thomas McKibbens), Anne Grace, Woods Thomas and Katherine McKibbens. He is also survived by his four children.
