It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Minnie Payne (Fairfield, Alabama), born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on August 15, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Charlie and Mary Accoff Davis, Sr.; her spouse Cretis Payne; her sons, Byron Payne (Dale), Darye Payne, Jeffery Payne and Quinton Payne; and her siblings, Charlie Davis, Jr. (Loretta), Roland Davis (Jeannie), Betsy Wright and Jessie "Coolie" Sheard. She was also cherished by five grandchildren and one great grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
