She was predeceased by: her husband Knud Nielsen Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Knud Nielsen III (Sharol) of Evergreen, Claude Nielsen (Kate) of Birmingham and Kristin Koepfgen (Bruce); her brother-in-law Sumpter McGowin of Grenville; and her sister Frances Beeland Frakes of Greenville. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
