With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jerry Chandler of Evergreen, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 26, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Purnell and Hazel Weaver Purnell; her husband James Chandler; and her siblings, Guy Purnell (Buddy), Donald Purnell and Kay Pinckard.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ann Nobles (Ricky) of Evergreen and Susan Chandler of Evergreen; her sister Mary Beth Lee of Brewton; her sister-in-law Dorothy Ray of Clanton; her grandchildren, Drew Barlow (Kristel) of Red Level and Haley Falkenberry (Kevin) of Monroeville; her great grandchildren, Koltin, Kyler, Kelly, Kassidy, Kason, Karolina Barlow of Red Level and James Daniel Falkenberry of Monroeville; and her caregivers, Auga Cobb, Sonja McNeil, Dorothy Quintanilla and Anna Belle Watson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Cope-Keahey Funeral Home (705 Perryman St, Evergreen, AL 36401). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bower Memorial Baptist Church (301 Wild Ave, Evergreen, AL 36401).
