He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wilton and Jessie Lee Janes; his daughter Jo Ann Johnson; and his siblings, Russell Janes, Mary Lou Janes and Jean Crosby.
He is survived by: his siblings, Donald Janes (Sue) of Castleberry, Woodrow Janes of Castleberry, Micah Janes of Lenox, Sharon Laster (Larry) of Castleberry and Frances Janes Smith of Mobile; and his grandsons, Scott Johnson (Samantha) of Elberta and Robert Johnson of Mobile.
