He is survived by: his wife Linda Kaye Pate; his children, John Larry Pate (Kathy), Monica Michelle Rose of Birmingham, AL, Courtney Dareath Rainwater (Jason) of Knoxville, Tennessee and Lisa Marie Coop (Michael) of Tuscaloosa, AL; his brother Donald Ray Pate (Mary) of Birmingham, AL; his grandchildren, Ella Grace Coop, Emmalyn Gray Coop, Eliza Laine Coop, Hunter Jordan Morris, Brendon Jacob Morris, Courtney Gayle Rainwater, Hannah Lea Rainwater, Jayden Max Rainwater, Tyler Wayne Rose and Grayson Nicole Rose; and his great grandchildren, Colton Pate Morris, Brenn Lee Elias Rainwater and Margo Dawn Watson.
