He was predeceased by: his son Micheal Ray Padgett; his brother Lougene Padgett; and his parents, Claude Ray Padgett and Ruby Faye Smith Padgett. He is survived by: his wife Annell Waters Padgett of Evergreen; his daughters, Janice Sue Myers (Willie) of Evergreen, Teresa Ann Morris (Allen) of Evergreen and Melissa Ann Morris (Vance) of Evergreen; his brothers, James Padgett (Betty) of Camden, AL and Lyndon Padgett (Linda) of Evergreen; his grandchildren, Jefferson Myers, Michael Morris and Kelsey Hart (Johnny); and his great grandchild Amelia Grace Hart.
