He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria R. Murphy; his siblings, Richard Murphy, John Murphy, Vance Murphy and Anette Altman; and his parents, Vance Burdette Murphy and Florence LeRue Murphy.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis C. Murphy, Stephen H. Murphy (Amy), Marlene M. Penton (Van) and Gloria M. Wood; and his siblings, Florence Davis, Linda Harn, Leona Harn, Jim Murphy and Pat Murphy. He is also survived by six granddaughters; two great-granddaughters.
