He is survived by: his wife Eva Suddith Pate of Belleville; his sons, Scott Pate (Loretta) of Belleville and Jason Lee Pate (Alison) of Wetumpka; his siblings, Jerry Pate (Bobbie) of Fairnelson, Jolene Dean (Jerold) of Evergreen, Judy Powe of Camden, Barbara Holt of Jackson and Nancy Davis (Ronnie) of Burnt Corn; his grandchildren, John Austin Pate, Stephen Pate and William Chancey Pate; and his great grandchild Katherine Alene Pate.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the United Methodist Children's Home, 3140 Zelda Ct, Montgomery AL., 36177; Pilots for Christ, 107 Airport Rd., Monroeville, AL., 36460 or St. Jude's.
