He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Blair and Mary Frances "Fannie" Grimes Blair; and his siblings, Lola Mae McClinton, Mary Emma Lee, William Heywood Blair and Carolyn Faye Ethridge.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Davis Blair; his children, Aimee Blair Shouse (Bill) and James Wailon "Jem" Blair, Jr. (Kelli); his brother Daniel "Wayne" Blair; his granddaughters, Jaimee Blair Bules (Neil), Regan Blair Broussard and Laura Lee Spencer Potts (Caleb); and his great grandchildren, Brayden, Carter, Colt, Charlie and Tanner.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to West Alabama Agency on Aging; Alzheimer's Organization, Forkland UMC, or a charity of your choice.
