He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Alfonzo and Bertha Mae Vaughan (Lancaster); and his siblings, Lester Vaughan, Frank Vaughan, Bertha Puckett, Glenda Cuevas and Shirley Bopp.
He is survived by: his wife Major Lois Vaughan (Hull); and his children, Jackie D. Knapp (David) of Bethalto, Kevin B. Vaughan of Columbia, Brian W. Vaughan (Cathey) of Indianapolis, Tim C. Vaughan (Denise) of Cottondale and Valerie Hartley (Robert) of South Roxana. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
