He is survived by: his wife Beverly Grantham Matthews; his children, John Trever Matthews (Morgan), Amy Matthews, Amanda Matthews and Hannah Berryman; his siblings, Jessie Floyd Matthew, Jr., Terry Matthews and Susan Baker (David); his grandchild Everly Faith Jackson; his nephew Kevin Baker (Jami); and his niece Nickie Bateman (Geoffrey).
