He is survived by: his sons, John Raymond Ragan, Jr. of Eufaula, Gregory Wilson Scott (Mary) of Eufaula and Steven Ragan (Jacquline) of Fort Gaines; his sister Mary Olive; his grandchildren, David Tarver (Brandy), Crystal Ragan (Rick), John Raymond Ragan, III (Jessica), Brittany Jewel Ragan, Katelyn Sanders (Kody), Emily Ragan, Lillie Ragan, Amelia Ragan, Alyssa Ragan, Joseph Scott, Matthew Scott and Morgan Scott; his great grandchildren, David Evan Ragan, Olivia Charlette Ragan, Russell James Ragan, Elizabeth Virginia Ragan, Andrea Robertson, Braylin Heath, Karson Sanders and Kameron Sanders; his former wives, Brenda Gallamore and Shirley Ragan; and his close friend Linda Twitchell.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Glover Funeral Home Chapel (3121 S Eufaula Ave, Eufaula, AL 36027). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Georgetown Cemetery (133 South St, Georgetown, GA 39854).
