He is survived by: his wife Lelia Robbins Cannington; his children, Curtis Layfield (Cindy), Kim Montgomery (Johnny) and Pam Bell (Kevin) of Montgomery, AL; his brother Edward Cannington (Brenda) of Valdosta, GA; and his grandchildren, John Deloit, Jaycee Layfield, Courtney Layfield, Garrett Layfield and Jessica Shaw. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
