He was predeceased by: his parents, Osborne Wingate "Sam" Alexander, Sr. and Bessie Ennis Alexander; and his siblings, O. W. Alexander, Jr., Cecil Alexander, Larry Alexander and Betty Fancher.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Alexander; his sons, Matt Alexander (Monica) and Ben Alexander (Ashley); his sister Sharon Waas; his grandchildren, Emma Grace Alexander, Ava Rose Alexander and Jean Paul Argemil; and his sisters-in-law, Ruby Alexander and Brenda Alexander. He is also survived by sixteen nephews and thirteen nieces.
