She was predeceased by: her brother Albert Quinton Oglesby; her niece Jennifer Oglesby; and her parents, James Albert Oglesby and Bessie Juanita Reynolds Oglesby. She is survived by: her brother Roger Oglesby (Jean); her nieces and nephews, Tracy Sudduth (Joe), Shannon Bowles, Jeff Oglesby (Pauline) and Tim Oglesby (Marsha); her sisters-in-law, Faye Oglesby and Bonnie Oglesby; and her great-niece Shelia Lowery.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cross Roads Baptist Church (529 Lewis Crossroads, Carrollton, AL 35447). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
