He was predeceased by: his parents, E. S. Elliott and Ina Ritchie Elliott; and his sister Brenda Handley Griffin. He is survived by: his wife Pansy Bryan Elliott; his son Mark Elliott (Michele) of Dallas, TX; his stepdaughters, Rose Marie Wise (Art) of Dale County, AL and Treva Walden of Enterprise, AL; his grandchildren, Jasmine Dean (Bradley) of Ashford, AL, Peyton Elliott of Dallas, TX and Mack Wise of Dale County, AL; his great grandchild Hallie Dean of Ashford, AL; his sister Janice Hight (Bill) of Johnson City, TN; his sister-in-law Mary Lynn Bryan of Opelika, AL; his uncle Lawrence Ritchie of Elizabethton, TN; his aunt Anna Ruth Cole of Elizabethton, TN; his nephew Andy Hight (Parisa); his great-niece Addie of Johnson City, TN; and his niece Kali Chadick (William). He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Park Avenue Baptist Church, 300 East Park Avenue, Enterprise, AL 36330 where Pansy serves as the pianist.

“Deeply saddened by the news my former teammate, roommate and most importantly my friend has passed. We had many great times together but the one that stands out in my memory was the time we visited with his grandparents in Stoney Creek, TN. Sid was a solid guy with a high degree of integrity and good moral compass. Also an outstanding athlete. I will always remember him fondly. Sincere condolences to Pansy and family. Ray Kempf”
