He was predeceased by: his son Randy Kennedy; his parents, Glenn Wise and Lavonne Klugh; and his brother Randy Kennedy. He is survived by: his wife Linda Kennedy; his children, Melissa Kennedy (Randy), Sarah Olivas (Erik), Kate Cripe (Mike) and Matt Gomez (Cheryl); and his siblings, Rick Kennedy (Judy), Ron Kennedy (Kellie), Leslie Hough (Mike) and Denise Grode (Bruce). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
