It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Clarence Horne in Enterprise, Alabama, born in McKenzie, Alabama, who passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Barbara Jean Horne; his stepsons, Burton Cleris Mosher, IV and Rodney Frank Mosher; and his siblings, Ann McGoun and J. B. Horne.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Horne; his stepson Lehman Irby (Diane); his niece Kayla Marie McGowan; and his close friend Trixie. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Newton United Methodist Church (233 King St, Newton, AL 36352).
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions to be made to the Wiregrass Alzheimer's Association or Newton United Methodist Church in Robert's memory.
