It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Cook Adkison of Enterprise, Alabama, who passed away on November 29, 2024, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Martha Cook may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Martha Cook touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Mearl Shirah and Wiliam Arnie Cook; and her stepfather Leroy Shirah. She is survived by: her husband Anthony "Tony" Adkison; her stepdaughter Brittni Hoaks (Clint) of Milford, Illinois; her siblings, Tracy Allen Cook (Jan) of Ozark and Callie Mae Barefield of Ozark; her stepgrandchildren, Raennah'Heldreth and Hagen Hoaks; and her sisters-in-law, Teri Adkison, Rebecca Adkins (Ennis) and Monika Herrington (Scott). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her beloved fur babies.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory (4550 Boll Weevil Cir, Enterprise, AL 36330). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
