“Dear Deb, Chris and Mimi (Audra) -- I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Harmon's passing. He was such a great spirit, so smart and funny ...and one of my most kind and favorite Uncles. He went out of his way to spend time with me when I was able to visit, and he let me know about the existence of the Whigham family history - which I obtained and is very dear to me. After my Mom died we all didn't stay in touch much, but my thoughts drifted often to days spent playing with my cousins, and listening to stories and lessons from my Aunt's and Uncles. I remember hearing all about Uncle Harmon's "chemical business" and I was so impressed at the enterprise, and sharp wit and business acumen he had throughout even his later years. The memories of time spent with you all down South, are some of the very sweetest and most precious of my life. My love and sympathies to you all.”
