He was predeceased by: his wife Karla Andrews Stump; his parents, Roy Stump and Alma Stump; his son Gary Stump, Jr.; and his brother Everett Stump.

He is survived by: his sons, Michael Stump and Christopher Stump; his grandchildren, Addisyn and Kristin Stump; his great grandchild Cylas Stump; his sisters, Gail Cholensky (Larry), Vicki Dreisteidt and Nancy Frotney (Chuck); his nephew David Frotney; and his nieces, Amanda and Samantha Dreisteidt.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Funeral Home and Crematory (1700 Barrington Rd, Midland City, AL 36350).

“Sending my deepest sympathies for the loss of Gary. He was a longtime friend and member of our church youth group at Cove United Methodist Church in Lakewood, OH. back in the 70’s. He and his family were very dear to our family back in our youth. Though years have gone by, we somehow managed to stay in touch, always exchanging Christmas cards at least. Gary was always a lively and caring man. I know he loved his family greatly. Gary will be deeply missed. Barb Smith Teubl”
