She was predeceased by: her son Gary Savory Phillips; and her parents, Comer Brooks and Lillian Brooks. She is survived by: her husband Karl Stenger of Enterprise, AL; her daughter Brandy Schiavone (Jason) of Enterprise, AL; and her siblings, Kathy Alonzo (Tony), Carol Hanchey of Columbus, GA, Comer Ray Brooks (Tina) of Elba, AL and Ralph Brooks of Elba, AL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
