He was predeceased by: his wife Karen Fortner Tolbert; his daughter Angie Tolbert; his grandson Jake Norton; his parents, J. T. Tolbert and Evelyene Tolbert; and his siblings, Donald "Bant" Tolbert, Jack Tolbert and Betty Sue Lockhart.
He is survived by: his children, Crystal Corley (Brad) of Empire, Vickie Cagle of Dilworth and Brock Tolbert (Bridget) of Dilworth. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; one great grandson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
